Rotorua Lakes, 18th - 21st November 2010

Organised by Rotorua East Lions Club, the International Trout Fishing Tournament is holding its 43rd Tournament in 2010. Entries close 8pm on Thursday 18th November. Fishing starts 5am Friday 19th and closes at 3pm on Sunday 21st November. The Tournament now has children who are the third generation to fish in the tournament each year as well as regular anglers from overseas who travel to Rotorua each year to participate in the Tournament.

This year's beneficiary will be the Cancer Society's Lions Lodge in Hamilton. It will provide free accomodation and meals for approximately 600 per year in a "home away from home" atmosphere for people while they receive treatment for cancer at the Waikato Regional Cancer Centre.

First time entrants are welcome. There will be information and assistance available from Eastern Region Fish and Game at the Tournament for those new to trout fishing.

Competitors fish during the day, returning to the Tournament Headquarters at Arawa Park Function Centre, Fenton Street, Rotorua each night to weigh-in and socialize. Quick fire raffles and lucky spot prizes are conducted through out the evenings with lucky prizes for seniors and for juniors. Some daily prizes are presented each night.

Results are posted on the website each day of the Tournament.

Prizes - over $15000 worth of Prizes to be won.

Overall Tournament Prizes include heaviest and best condition rainbow, heaviest brown trout, junior prizes, heaviest rainbow trout caught by a lady angler and heaviest rainbow trout caught by an overseas angler. All junior entrants receive a prize at the final prizegiving.

Early Bird Entry closes 31st October - Entries received and paid for before 31st October go into the draw to win the Early Bird prize,

Registration from 3pm to 8pm on Thursday 18th November at the Tournament Headquarters. Registration also available at weigh-in times provided paid entry form has been completed before 8pm Thursday 18th November.

Tournament Briefing is 7pm on 18th November. Fishing starts 5am on Friday 19th November and closes at 3pm on Sunday 21st November 2010

Weigh-in Times: Friday and Saturday - noon to 12.30pm and 6.30pm to 7.30pm. Sunday - noon to 12.30pm and 3.00pm to 4.00pm. Results are posted on the website each day.

3pm onwards - Contestants register at the Tournament Headquarters, Arawa Park Function Centre, Rotorua Racecourse, Fenton St LICENCE MUST BE PRODUCED.

5pm onwards Bar and Hot Food available –

7pm Pre-Tournament Briefing: All contestants are urged to attend. A number of Lucky Spot Prizes will be won by contestants present PLUS a Lucky Entry draw worth $.

8pm Entry Closes Entrants may register at weigh-in provided they have entered and paid prior to 8pm Thursday 18^th November.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Nights –

Bar and Hot Food from 5pm on Friday and Saturday, from 3pm Sunday, PLUS Daily Lucky Spot Prizes - you have to be in attendance to win.

Prize Givings: Daily Lucky Entry Draws and Prize Giving between 7.30pm and 8.30pm on Friday and Saturday and between 4pm to 6pm on Sunday.
